About us – Achinger Lavender
Organic lavender from Upper Austria – with heart, hand and dedication
Welcome to Achinger Lavender, your organic lavender manufactory from Aching in the Innviertel. What began as a vision between family, nature and passion has now become our joint heart project.
Our Story: From First Bloom to Expert Knowledge
At the beginning of 2022, we started with 50 lavender plants in our field. Without any previous experience, but with infinite curiosity, we have gradually acquired the knowledge and respect for this special plant.
Even in this early phase, the press became aware of us. Our first steps were documented in a portrait of the "Upper Austrian" – a moment that confirmed to us that our vision of bringing a piece of Romanian tradition to the Innviertel touches people.

A well-rehearsed team: Dana & Michael
Behind every bottle of Achinger lavender are two people who combine their strengths:
- Dana brings the vision, the deep roots of her homeland and the tireless demand for the quality of our products.
- With his craftsmanship, technical understanding and clear structure, Michael ensures that our high quality standards are implemented on a daily basis in the field and during distillation.
Quality without compromise: stainless steel & copper
An important turning point was the path to their own distillation. To get the most out of the plant, we use two specialized processes today:
- We obtain our organic lavender oil in a modern stainless steel still, a custom-made product from Italy, in order to perfectly preserve its purity and clarity.
- For our hydrosol, we take a more traditional approach: we distill it in a handmade copper plant. This is the only way to create the intense, soft fragrance that meets our standards of the highest craftsmanship.
A milestone: Achinger Lavender on TV
Our development from the first 50 plants to the professional organic manufactory has now also inspired television. We are proud that Servus TV will broadcast a report about our work, our fields and our shared passion in April 2026.

Every drop captures the unmistakable character of our organic lavender from the Innviertel - grown, distilled and processed by hand directly here in Upper Austria.
